Over the next few weeks, LEAPForward will be hosting Focus Groups for faculty members. The focus group’s will be held on February 6th and 7th from 2:30-4:00pm. As part of our initiative, we will conduct the focus groups to discover opportunities, improvements and value that can be delivered by a new Student Information System and Business Intelligence Tools.
If you would like more information about the initiative, or are interested in attending one of these upcoming focus groups, please contact us at email@example.com.
We would like to take a quick second to thank everyone who came out in the rain and attended our Open House on Tuesday. Pictures on the event are posted on our Facebook page, so be sure to check them out! Though we had many completed scavenger hunt forms, we would like to congratulate Molly Munson-Dryer, Stacy Ramsey, and Christy West whose names were drawn as winners!
Thank you again to everyone who came out, and we hope that you had a great time, and learned a thing or two.
The Professional Development Building has undergone some significant renovations the past few months. Now that renovations are complete, we would like to invite members of the campus community in to showcase our building. The Open House will be November 6, 2012 from 2:00-4:00pm. We would also like to use the Open House as an opportunity to provide educational insight into the areas of LEAPForward. The schedule for the Open House is as follows:
2:00- Informational session on the overall LEAPForward Initiative
On September 27, 2012 President Bowman presented his annual State of the University Address. During the address, President Bowman shared news about the University, as well as plans for the future of the University.
During the address, President Bowman spoke of the LEAPForward Initiative. He said:
This fall, Illinois State embarks on a technological innovation with its LEAPForward project—and we ask for your help in shaping the way the University interacts with students through technology.
Illinois State University’s 2012 Homecoming is October 1-7th. Here at LEAPForward we are actively preparing for the excitement that will be in the air next week. Homecoming provides a time for alumni to fondly remember their days at ISU; to rekindle relationships with alumni friends, faculty, and staff; and to refresh about new and exciting happenings at their Alma Mater.
The Educating Illinois Task force hosted 2 open forums the past few weeks to provide an overview of Educating Illinois 2013-2018: Individualized Attention, Shared Aspirations, the draft of the University’s next strategic plan. The forums were open to all University constituents, as well as those from the local community. Participants were given the opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions about the draft plan.
Here at LEAPForward, it is rare to have everyone together in the office at the same time. LEAPForward team members are continuously running from meeting to meeting here on campus. The other half of the team holds down the fort with their own meetings here at the PDB.
In spirit of students arriving back on campus and moving in to the residence halls this week, the LEAP Department is excited to announce that we have moved!
Though the rest of Administrative Technologies is housed in Julian Hall, the LEAP Department has made a move across campus to the Professional Development Building. The Professional Development Building (or PDB) opened in 1993 and previously housed the Mennonite College of Nursing.
We are LEAPForward, part of Administrative Technologies at Illinois State University. Sponsored by the Vice Presidents and with the support of President Bowman, the LEAPForward project is an effort to modernize the design of our administrative systems.
