Here at LEAPForward, it is rare to have everyone together in the office at the same time. LEAPForward team members are continuously running from meeting to meeting here on campus. The other half of the team holds down the fort with their own meetings here at the PDB.
In the time that the staff is not in meetings, they work individually on marketing communications, event planning and promotions, and preparation for the request for proposal (RFP). The first Tuesday of every month we have a LEAP Day, where everyone in the office brings a food dish. Everyone looks forward to these because it is a fun way to take a small break from the daily grind.
Employee Spotlight: Susan Mizerak, LEAP Marketing Intern
Background: I am from Aurora, IL where I attended high school and graduated in 2009. Last summer my family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. I am currently a senior Marketing major here at Illinois State.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Mechanicsville, Virginia. It was an amazing place to be raised. I lived there until my freshmen year of high school when we moved to Illinois.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
If I could meet anyone it would have to be Betty White, she’s so feisty, I feel like I could learn a lot from her.
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
I would give all of my closest friends and family a million dollars. There’s no use in being rich if you can’t share it with the people you love.
