SIS Kick-Off for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions

LEAPForward held the official kick-off with Oracle’s project leadership team for the new Illinois State University Student Information System (SIS). There were more than 75 people in attendance including numerous departments across campus, the LEAPForward team, and University leadership.  The implementation of Oracle’s PeopleSoft Campus Solutions will begin in February. 

Introducing the new Student Information System

LEAPForward is pleased to announce the selection of Oracle's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions as the Illinois State University Student Information System. Since the Initiative began in December of 2011, over 2,500 campus-wide participants, including a senior leadership steering team, logged over 35,000 hours in support of this effort.  As we transition from planning to implementation, we want to once again express our gratitude for the hard work and determination of all those who participated.

RFPs Currently Closed

The ITSM Tool, BI Environment, and Housing and Dining Tool RFPs have all officially closed. Vendor proposals are currently being evaluated. Final selections will be presented to the LEAPForward Steering Team and Board of Trustees for approval.

ITSM Tool RFP and BI Tool RFP have been Published

The Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Tool RFP and the Business Intelligence (BI) Tool RFP have been published on the Illinois Public Higher Education Procurement Bulletin for vendors to review and respond. An active ULID is required to view the ITSM Tool and BI Tool RFPs.

Big need for Big Data powers LEAPForward tech project

AIE and Supporting Systems RFP Product Evaluation Underway

The LEAPForward Academic Information Environment (AIE) and Supporting Systems vendor presentations were held the first two weeks of June. Oracle and Ellucian were the two vendors who presented. The product evaluation phase is officially underway for the AIE and Supporting Systems Request for Proposal (RFP). Throughout the evaluation process, the Steering Team Committee and the LEAPForward project team will work with an evaluation committee to score the responses and recommend the new vendor(s) to the Board of Trustees.

LEAPForward Initiative to help ISU keep competitive edge

Academic Information Environment and Supporting Systems RFP has been Published

The Academic Information Environment (AIE) and Supporting Systems Request for Proposal (RFP) has been published by the State of Illinois Procurement Office for vendors to review and respond. The AIE RFP will be used to find the vendor(s) with systems to replace the mainframe applications and student information systems.  An active ULID is required to view the RFP.
